The Mouse

The Mouse is an input device used to move the cursor around on the monitor screen. It must be used on a flat surface or mouse pad.
As you move or point the mouse, the cursor moves on the screen.

There are one, two or three buttons on the top of the mouse depending on what type of computer you are using.
When you press or click a button an electric signal is sent to the computer to select something on the screen.
If you continue to hold the mouse button down as you move the mouse across the screen you are dragging the mouse. This is used to move objects on the computer screen.
